I went to the Chuck E. Cheese's in Lone Tree and Englewood (CO) some time ago. Each of them were extremely different... just kidding! Both stores were nearly identical besides Lone Tree (CO) having a mildly interesting wall. As far as Entertainment goes (that's literally Chuck's middle name), it was honestly just mid. Everything there is extremely overpriced, it's as if CEC is trying to be the next Disney park or something. Minus all locations here (CO) have gotten rid of the animatronic characters in favor of a screen and a walkaround.

I could honestly appreciate if CEC Entertainment was putting effort into improving the walkaround live shows. Sadly it seems like they have actually gotten worse. Within my two trips (probably around two and a half hours spent there in total), I saw a Chuck E. Cheese walkaround character a grand total of zero times! Why go to Chuck E. Cheese's if there is no Chuck to Cheese?! Any family could just go to Cici's Pizza and get the same experience if not a better experience since there's no mascot being promised on the literal front of the building, just pizza and games! Some of the new walls, signs and decorations are a nice addition though, I would not recommend anyone going to a restaurant and spending around $30 - $40 just to look at somewhat interesting decorations. However, the arcade sprites along the grey walls and the character biography walls are nice. Also, the history of CEC being shown around Kid Check and the "You won!" signs are nicely implemented. Though I'm sure it would have been better if there was some form of decent entertainment surrounding it. It's almost like some new additions to stores are just mocking us "Haha! This place isn't very entertaining anymore, look at this history wall and see how much better it used to be!"

I genuinely do not think it's just nostalgia telling some of us that Chuck E. Cheese's used to be better. I remember when I frequently with to Fort Collins (CO) as a child (around six or seven years old) the characters was one of the main things that I remembered besides the SkyTubes. I was intrigued by the animatronic characters and the Chuck E. walkaround would frequently be out and (from what I remember) was very enthusiastic! I think that CEC Entertainment should put more effort into decent entertainment instead of just plopping a screen in all locations and calling it good.
