This Climate Change Guidebook from SDSN Youth is a primer developed for young people globally with the objective to give youth a comprehensive understanding of climate policy, technical solutions around mitigation and adaptation as well as climate inequalities.


The Youth Leadership in Climate Policy Workbook by Plan International and Unbounded Associates offers lessons and tools to help you learn about the basics of climate change, reflect on how it impacts different groups of people in different ways, and start creating plans for how you can take action in your community. Chapter 1 focuses on learning the fundamentals of climate change.

If you've got an idea for a sustainable development challenge you want to tackle in your community, and are looking for guidance to create an action plan, this Youth Action Planner from UNESCO can help guide you through their 6 key steps to action planning.

This toolkit for young climate activists, curated by UNICEF, includes a collection of resources developed by youth activists themselves. Its goal is to share clear, concise, easily understandable information that describes the course that global, regional and national climate action is taking, in order to prepare young people for full and informed participation.

Are you looking to connect with other youth who are taking action on the SDGs?

The Eco Ambassador initiative at the Center for Sustainable Development engages young citizen scientists and activists in conducting research and mobilizing their communities toward solutions to sustainability challenges, receiving training opportunities from experts at Columbia University.
