About Miss. Lewis

Thank you for visiting our classroom website! As your child's teacher, I wanted to share some information with you about myself.

I grew up in Ballston Spa, New York and I currently live in Schenectady, New York. I received my Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education at Plattsburgh State and my Masters Degrees in Literacy and Special Education at UAlbany. This is my first year at Lynnwood and my first year teaching 5th grade. Before coming to Lynnwood, I was a third grade teacher for 3 years in Troy, New York. I am beyond excited to start my new journey at Lynnwood and to have the opportunity to work with older students.

One of my favorite parts about being an elementary school teacher is having the ability to teach all of the subjects. I am particularly passionate about reading and writing! If I wasn't a teacher my second dream would be to become a writer.

In my free time I love visiting Sacandaga Lake, reading mystery novels and spending time with family and friends! My furr babies are my two cats, Moe and Zo. I also got a German Shepherd Puppy this summer!

I cannot wait for our year to begin together :)
