The Mishawaka High School Robotics Program was started in 2016 by Mr. Ben Modlin and Mr. Brandon Trtan. The program started off as an after school club which met two to four times a week. There were only two teams.
In August of 2017, the robotics program met a new teacher, Mr. Kyle Marsh and Mr. Ben Modlin. The both of them coached the four teams that Mishawaka High School possessed. They both helped lead one of the four teams to the FIRST state competition.
During both years, we were lucky enough to have a parent of one our students help us with problems that we had no clue how to solve.
As of the 2019-2020 season, we have been very lucky to have the same coaches, Mr. Kyle Marsh and Mr. Ben Modlin, who now coach 3 FTC teams and 1 FRC team. In 2018 our great coaches were able to send 2 of 4 FTC teams to state and the FRC team to state off of the rookie sensation award.
