Our main focus at Mishawaka is First Robotics, that includes the FIRST Robotics Competition, with our team 7477 The Giddy Goats! We are always looking for more challenges. Check in often to see what we are working on!
What is FIRST?
What is FIRST?
FIRST is a program that gets students interested and excited in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in a fast paced, highly collaborative "coopertition" environment. Students are presented with a challenge that is to be solved using group problem solving techniques and the engineering design process to design, fabricate, program, and test a robot. But FIRST is way more than just a robot. It is a program aimed at developing the entire student.
At the core of FIRST is the tenant of gracious professionalism. FIRST students understand that there is more to competition than winning, but rather helping each other, cheering for each other, and working together to learn and develop as much as possible.
