About the Author

Arthur J. Foggin has lived and worked across five countries—South Africa, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Poland, and Greece—experiences that have fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the shared complexity of the human condition.

He has held senior leadership positions in the UK and trained as a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, though he credits life itself as his most profound teacher. A lifelong traveller, Arthur has explored regions as far-reaching as the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and much of Europe.

His interest in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) grew from lived experiences and professional encounters, where he observed the widespread misunderstandings and stigma faced by those affected. What began as personal research developed into a passionate endeavour. He created a website to provide clear, compassionate information about BPD, and this book emerged as a natural extension of that mission.

Arthur’s goal is straightforward:

To make BPD easier to understand and to promote more empathetic, effective support for those living with it. This is the first in a planned series of guides, each grounded in the belief that knowledge empowers empathy, and that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity.
