Beyond Boundaries: Multidisciplinary Education and Research for a Rapidly Transforming Scientific World
19 - 21 February 2026
Hybrid Mode
The international conference “Beyond Boundaries: Multidisciplinary Education and Research for a Rapidly Transforming Scientific World” reflects the core vision of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates holistic, flexible, and multidisciplinary education as the foundation for future-ready learning and research ecosystems. NEP - 2020 recognizes that contemporary scientific challenges are complex, interconnected, and global in nature, requiring educational models that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries and promote integrative thinking across domains. In this context, rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, climate science, data analytics, and digital innovation are profoundly reshaping how knowledge is created, shared, and applied. The conference, therefore, underscores the urgent need to integrate the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and technology within both teaching and research frameworks. Such interdisciplinary convergence is essential for nurturing critical thinking, creativity, ethical reasoning, and strong problem-solving capacities among learners and researchers. Through sustained dialogue, collaboration, and exchange of best practices, the conference envisions a shift from traditional subject-centric approaches to a socially responsive and innovation-driven academic culture capable of addressing pressing national and global challenges.
In alignment with NEP 2020’s emphasis on research orientation, innovation, and institutional collaboration, the conference provides a platform for meaningful dialogue among educators, researchers, policymakers, industry experts, and students. It promotes outcome-based education, translational research, and ethical, socially responsive innovation, encouraging academic ecosystems that connect education with societal needs and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), thereby strengthening institutional partnerships and fostering research cultures capable of addressing contemporary national and global challenges.
The conference holds particular relevance for the Indian subcontinent, a region characterized by rich diversity and complex challenges in public health, environmental sustainability, education, and inclusive growth, all of which require interdisciplinary and context-sensitive solutions. Addressing issues such as climate change, health transitions, digital inequities, and sustainable development demands the integration of scientific, technological, social, and policy perspectives. By strengthening multidisciplinary academic frameworks and revitalizing India’s long-standing tradition of integrative knowledge systems, the conference aims to advance future-ready education and research practices that are locally rooted and globally relevant, thereby enabling the region to play a more active and influential role in the global scientific community.
