My research focuses on worker voice and worker organizing. In college, which seems like a lifetime ago, I worked many summers and weekends as a waitress in a small Italian restaurant in my hometown Bruges, Belgium.

Anna Wilcoxson is in her third year of the Sociology PhD program at Michigan State University. Anna is a labor scholar with special interests in informal and precarious labor, workfare, race, and food studies. A previous career as a chef in the food industry fuels Anna’s passion for food and labor studies.
Sarah-Joy identifies as she/her and is from Ann Arbor, MI. She became interested in research after her love for understanding and exploring people through psychology and human resources became enhanced after working as a research assistant for the Management department at MSU. This current project is furthering her passion for engaging in research that positively impacts communities.
