MIR Lab is looking for passionate researchers who want to explore the future of underwater and marine robotics.

At the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO), you will have the opportunity to design, build, and experiment with real robotic systems — not only in simulation, but also in tanks and real ocean environments.

Our lab provides access to a wide range of marine robots, robotic manipulators, high-end sensors, computing platforms, and experimental facilities, allowing you to turn your own ideas into real robotic systems and validate them through hands-on experiments.

Our research spans a broad range of topics, including:

• Robot Control and Autonomous Navigation

• Perception, SLAM, and Multi-Sensor Fusion

• Reinforcement Learning and Learning-based Control

• Multi-Robot and Human-Robot Collaborative Systems

You will work alongside experienced researchers in marine robotics and have the freedom to explore new ideas, develop algorithms, build robotic systems, and test them in challenging real-world environments.
