Robotics Vision Practice using PixyCam & TurtleBot3
Robotics Vision Practice using PixyCam & TurtleBot3
Undergraduate research in Autonomous Navigation Laboratory for Unmanned Vehicle Systems, Hongik (2019)
Overview
PixyCam is a fast vision sensor that can detect and track an object by users simple instructions. The purpose of the research was to fully understand the capability of PixyCam as a robot's vision and to use it for a vision of the TurtleBot 3. The final goal was to control the path of the TurtleBot3 and make drones hover around the TurtleBots which are used as a kind of a marker for the trajectory of drones.
During research, I learned the basics of robotics and computer vision, and used Robotics Operating System(ROS), Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Additionally, I also learned how to record GPS signals.
