Native Language Literacy Assessment
A million thanks to Drs. Kendall King and Martha Bigelow who released the NLLA tool they developed at the University of Minnesota. It requires no proficiency in the various languages by proctors of the assessment, and is available in several languages. They are planning to add more languages in the future. Districts and schools may find this tool very useful in determining the literacy part of the SLIFE definition in Minnesota.
