Chinese forces not only persist in the West Philippine Sea but also frighten the local fishermen in that area. Chinese activities continue in the West Philippine Sea and are spotted in the waters, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reprehended the Chinese action that undermines the rules-based international system and has taken legal measures to address this issue.
Filipino Fishermen were overwhelmed by the surge of Chinese vessels' alarming threats. Fortunately, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) had helped in supporting and resupplying the Filipino Fishermen's Essentials last October 7.
PCG multi-role vessels were deployed to two areas near the West Philippine Sea: Bajo de Masinloc and Escoda Shoal.
The resupply for fishermen includes: fuel subsidies, five tons of crushed ice, and 345 grocery packs to nearly 100 boats. The operation began at 5 a.m. at both locations. The team assisted, making the expedition for the fishermen have a more extended time for catching goods.
