My overarching goal is to end this year/semester with a solid understanding and foundation for the rest of college. I will get there by making sure I finish my work timely and grasp the material being taught. I will seek tutoring and ask for help when I need it.
Elevate my ability to effectively use language to present a strong and logical approach using facts and credible information in a respectful and professional manner.
Challenging or strengthening current beliefs while also being able to support them through my writing and presentation.
Use this semester and year to get into good habits and routines that will allow me to be successful for the rest of my life.
Since I am also taking public speaking, being able to pair my writing ability with my ability to speak in public can make me a well rounded speech giver.
Experience different aspects of society and ways of thinking to be able to further my own and work better with others.
I seek to become more patient and better at listening than I am currently.
This semester has been an interesting one for everyone. For me, it has been a semester where I have pushed myself to do things I didn't think I would participate in. I without a doubt completed my work on time and to the best ability possible. I feel that I have realized my writing style and understood the limitations and mistakes I often make. I believe that I know what I must do going forward to ensure my writing is the best possible. Throughout this writing class, my personal beliefs and viewpoints have certainly been challenged and I feel that I have better understanding and formulation of my own ideals. The habits and routines that I have drilled into my head will certainly help next semester during virtual school and even more so for in person. I feel that I am a more confident writer and speaker in being able to pair my learnings from both this class and in my public speaking course. I have taken on leadership positions in my fraternity which has made me more patient and understanding of people and circumstances. Overall, I am thankful for being able to say that I have grown throughout this strange time and seek to continue this momentum going forward.
