Originally named Sydney Boutique Dentistry, the owner wanted something with a little more edge and a pop of colour that gets some attention and reflects who she is.Â
The original logo was a little more classic with serif type, but wasn't strong at smaller sizes and didn't have that edge the client wanted. Renamed Avant Garde Dentist, the client wanted something that worked with the name or the abbreviation AG.
Overall sentiment was concepts weren't simple enough and suggested the introduction of some lips to reflect the cosmetic surgery aspect of the business, as well as the client's personal brand and personality.

A friend approached me with a request to help redesign his construction company's logo. The client wanted something that portrayed strength but also friendly and approachable. Being based in the South Coast, he also wanted some aspect of nature and the surrounding area.
Initial concepts
& development
A well-renowned bridge as you drive into the South Coast is Seacliff Bridge, featured in numerous car commercials. The logo shape takes inspiration from that bridge, as well as the colour palette on a clear day.
Hive & Gobbler is a destination hub in the Hunter Valley NSW promoting creativity and slow-living. Specialise in sourcing high quality products that are as environmentally-minded as possible, such as wool, candles and fabrics.
The client wanted some emphasis on the natural, eco-friendly aspect of the brand, as well as including some elements that represented their wares such as candles, wool, knitting supplies, home made jams, etc.

The client asked for a logo based on the letters FP and using the 3 primary additive colours of red, green and blue, which are what out televisions use to create the full spectrum of colours in the shows we watch.

The client approached me with the intention of giving the current logo a facelift but wasn't sure of whether to do a small tweak or go for a full rework. I came up with some options, demonstrating what it could look like with a slight tidy up and then options all the way through to a completely new look. We didn't end up pulling the trigger at the end of the day, but was a fun project to explore.
