As educators there is never enough time in the day to do everything but with these tips, tricks, and tools you will be able to create lessons quicker, engage students faster, and live a little more stress free life.
Come learn about some fun and in some cases non-traditional STEM projects we have our students work on through our STEM/STEAM program. Some of the projects you will learn about include video game creation, making replica movie props, LEGO robotics, drone piloting, a real race car and more. By the end of this session participants will have the information needed to start having effective conversations regarding technology in your district from everything from staffing, financing, legal issues around technology and more. Remember a time when we thought Virtual Reality was something that would happen in the future? Well that future is now. Gone are the days where we thought it would cost millions of dollars and computers the size of a room to transport us into the virtual realm. Now it only costs a few bucks and a cell phone. We will take a look at several tools (Such as Google Cardboard), apps (Such as Expeditions and CoSpace), and websites (such as RoundMe) that we as educators can use to take our students to places they never thought they could go before. We will also look at some other technology that is making its way into schools to make virtual learning even more hands on.
For years Google was only thought of as a search engine. Then people have looked at them for more with the integration of Google Apps. But did you know there is so much more to Google then just searching and typing? Come and take a look at some of the lesser known tools that Google can offer you. These tools can be used in multiple subject areas and for all age groups. This session will open your teaching toolbox to some wonderful tools to bring back to the classroom tomorrow.
Ignite Session: Over the past few years Virtual Reality (VR) has grown in popularity in schools due to Google Cardboard. But the question is where do we go from here? Lets take a look at where VR is going, how to make students consumers of VR content, and more importantly creators. And we will hit on the most important question of all, WHY should be we using VR in the classroom.
This presentation is an overview of Virtual Reality and the HTC Vive. It also highlights many different VR apps that can be used n the classroom. This is intended as a full day, fully hands on workshop to give people the experience they need to understand Virtual Reality and take away the needed information on implementing Virtual Reality in their District.

We will take a look at some free tools that you can add right into your web browser up to some new, exciting, and engaging tools and concepts like 3D printing and VR. These are tools you can learn about today and bring right back to you classroom tomorrow.
Full Day - Come out for a day of exploring and creating in VR. Get hands-on with tools such as Google Expedition, Tour Builder, and more. We will not just explore VR but will also be creating VR content. VR has proven to be a tool to increase student engagement with greater retention of content.
