This was my first Craigslist freebie. I saw a good CL deal come up and immediately jumped on it for a friend and fellow KLOVer... The guy emailed and said it was mine and we scheduled a pick for the next day. Now I could have bought it, flipped it and made some cash but figured I'd pass it on.
I called the guy the next day to tell him that my buddy would actually be picking the game up and paying for it to which he asks if I am also interested in a non-working pinball machine. I ask which one and he tells me "Pharaoh", I ask how much and he says "you can just have it". Needless to say I tell him I will meet him and my buddy within the hour to pick it up.
So a after some wife complaining, chit-chat, game loading, and a couple of hours this is it... my first CL freebie!
There is wear around some inserts but nothing horrible. The cab is beautiful, the backglass is pristine and the plastics look good (there are two chipped plastics on each side of the center ramp).
When I turned the game on it went straight to audit mode ("04 00" displayed on credit/ball display). I noticed that there was only one ball in the trough. Playfield inspection revealed that there was a ball sitting in one of the outholes. I freed it, put it in the trough and power-cycled the game... now it boots to attract mode.
I went into the tests and had a bunch of switches stuck on and no solenoids firing. I check the solendoid fuse on the power board and it was blown. I replaced, turned on the game and drop targets popped up and it was game on!
