In any one year we'll cover most parts of Sussex, taking care to avoid any major roads or heavy traffic staying where possible to the quieter back lanes
Our county is blessed with a wealth of off the beaten track lanes, by-ways and trails well suited to leisurely cycling, and with a variety of picturesque and interesting terrain.
Rides to the North into the High Weald will typically be hillier and more demanding, whereas those to the South can be gentler.
Distances tend to increase a tad in the summer months as we can start earlier to make the most of the lighter / longer days.
Some rides will take advantage of suitably surfaced off-road tracks and trails to leave the cars behind completely but only on those usable by road bikes (so no mud-baths nor any need for a mountain bike). Not all rides though would be comfortable on a bike with narrow racing tyres, so best look carefully at the route details beforehand and pick the rides that are primarily road-based if necessary.
Click on the top right of the map heading above to view a larger map in a new tab / window
or if that doesn't work, click instead on the separate '2025 Map' etc. buttons
Then zoom in / out and drag around to explore in more detail.
Click on one of the lines of a route or from the left-hand legend area to help highlight that route distinct from the others.
To see the routes separately for each season, un-tick the others from the left-hand legend area
Use the 'Runs List' link on the Home page, and when that opens adjust the Date column filter to see a selection of recent rides.
For any particular ride, click on the link (if present) under the 'Route mls' column to explore that in full detail e.g. as mapped under Plotaroute or OS Maps etc.
