Join MSFC

We welcome new members!

Whether you are a seasoned Alaskan fly fisher or a newcomer to the state who has never touched a fly rod, there is a place for you in our club

Membership entitles you to vote for club officers and actions, attend all the meetings each season, and helps support the club's activities, including Kid's Camp

Purchase an annual individual/family membership by filling out and mailing in the form here.

Stream Cleanups

MSFC organizes periodic stream cleanups in the Fairbanks area.  Help keep our local waters beautiful and clean for the fish that live in them, and the anglers that fish for them (including most of us!)

We have "adopted" for litter pickup a section of the Chena Hot Springs Road (MP 45-46) along the North Fork of the Chena River and including ADFG stocked fishing ponds at MP 45.5 (see map below).  Check our updates and events pages to see if there are any upcoming cleanups, and get involved!

Kid's Camp

MSFC Kid's Camp is a fun, active three-day event held each summer near Fairbanks that teaches kids ages 10 through 16 (and adults) all about fly-fishing. There is a cost per camper that covers them and one guardian. Every camper goes home with a T-shirt, sunglasses, and fly rod, plus camp special freebies and prizes

2024 Kids Camp will occur June 7-9 and registration is open. See details and register here

Arctic Master Angler Certificate

Curated by MSFC, the Arctic Master Angler Certificate is intended to highlight the unique and challenging sport fish species of Northern Alaska and recognize the achievements of accomplished fly fishers. Anglers who have caught and released 5 of the 6 fish species shown below, within one calendar year, will receive a certificate of achievement, a free 1-year MSFC membership, recognition on social media and our website, and other perks. A junior angler certificate is also available. Additional requirements apply, see the page here for details and application.
