Mid Dorset Mencap runs free weekly craft workshops in our dedicated workshop room at Trinity Street. These sessions offer a friendly, relaxed space where people can enjoy being creative, learn new skills, and spend time together.

Every week brings something different. Recently we’ve painted shells, decorated flower pots, and created colourful flowers from kitchen roll. Our staff and volunteers support each person at their own pace, helping everyone take part in a way that feels comfortable and fun.

All materials are provided, and there’s no charge to attend — creativity should be accessible to everyone. The workshops are part of our commitment to offering meaningful, enjoyable activities that build confidence, connection, and joy.
