Game Foundations - Make 10 arcade style video games using game engine software. Also learn foundational skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Big Data, User Interface Design and App Development. See game samples on the Games page.
Computer Fundamentals - The Must Have Computer Skills class. From PowerPoint, Word Expert and Excel Expert certification to more advanced skills in the CompTIA IT Fundamentals + certification, students learn how to use the most used software in business. Additional training in Social Media Strategist and WordPress web development round out this exciting course.
Game Audio and Sound Engineering - Available to incoming Freshmen who already took Game Foundations in middle school. Here we get you up to speed with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Big Data, User Interface Design and App Development so you will be successful in the sophomore classes. We focus on creating and editing sounds into video games. MIDI and Foley sounds are featured in the games created in this course.
Game Design and Composition - Make larger games using RPG software. Role Playing Games (RPG) involve story, quests, exploration and a large game world. Make a complex RPG using your own storyline. Also learn composition skills in Storyboarding, Animation, Databases, and Python programming language.
Game Graphic Artist - An optional class for the artists in the room. This course focuses on using digital art in games. Everything from basic 2D sprite design using Illustrator and Photoshop to complex topics needed to get certified as a Unity VR Developer are included in this class. *Course can be taken in 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles - Sit for an AP test to gain college credit. Covered topics include Computational Thinking, JavaScript and computer programming.
3D Animation - Jump out of the flat 2D world and learn how to make 3D characters and game worlds. Industry software like Maya and 3DS Max are used in the classroom to prepare you for that job when you graduate.
Game Programming - This course feature C# programming language and Unity 3D software. Unity is the most popular game engine used in the game industry today. Certification as a Unity Programmer is sure to put you at the top of the hiring list.
Game Advanced Apps - This capstone course allows you to put all your learning into practice. Work with a self-selected team to operate as your own indie game design studio. Design, build and sell your creation. You keep the cash and get all the credit as we guide you to successful real world application of your technology and project management skills.
