Ride leader/Coach Information

The Middle Park Mountain Bike Club relies on volunteer Ride Leaders and Coaches to deliver a Safe, Educational and Fun experience for the Middle School and High School participants. With out the help of many volunteers and parents this program would have never started.

Ride Leaders and Coaches

The Middle Park Mountain Bike Club is looking for volunteer Ride Leaders. Ride Leaders are grouped with Middle School and High School athletes to help keep the groups together, give feedback and motivate the athletes. The Middle Park Mountain Bike Team is sanctioned through the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and the Colorado High School Cycling League. These two organizations have collaborated to offer a very unique experience for High School athletes. These organizations have also established a coaching level system to help ride leaders and coaches deliver Safe, Education and Fun programs.

As a ride leader you will need to complete the steps to become a level 1 NICA coach. These steps take a couple hours to complete but they are designed to protect you, the athletes, and the other volunteers involved with the club.

You will register you coaching licencing steps in the NICA Pit Zone. For an invite to the Pit Zone email mpmtbteam@gmail.com and Ben will send you and invite.

This season the team will be using the Team Snap app for communication. The app allows coaches, ride leaders, parents and athletes to all communicate on one platform through their preferred type of communication. You may use the app, text or email.
