Micklehurst Cricket & Social Club is run exclusively by unpaid volunteers with a passion for the club, the game of cricket and the community. We are not just a club that plays cricket but a community orientated club providing a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.

Our ground is one of the best in the area, benefiting from a good wicket and pitch, wonderful panoramic views and clubhouse facilities where all are welcome.

In addition to our 3 senior cricket sides that play on Saturdays and Sundays, we have a very active junior section (over 40 children) with teams playing competitive matches throughout the year, as well as hosting the clubs annual ‘Summer Cricket Camp’ for children in the community. Most recently a number of our junior players have progressed to representing the club within the senior set up. This all bodes well for the senior sides in the years to come.

Sponsorship

Micklehurst Cricket & Social Club is a local, community club, run for the community, but on a very small budget. Therefore we rely on sponsorship from local businesses and wider afield, in order to continually develop and maintain facilities for all levels and ages.

The cricket club is run by volunteers, and the continuous running, development and maintenance of a local cricket club all year round is expensive, and cannot be done without some degree of commercial sponsorship and support from the local community.

Sponsoring Senior and Junior cricket at Micklehurst is an excellent way to advertise your company to the local and wider area and to demonstrate your company’s commitment to putting something back into the local community.

The local community has an assortment of vital skills and expertise, which would be extremely valuable to a local community club, like Micklehurst Cricket & Social Club.

Micklehurst Cricket & Social Club are continually looking to improve facilities and accessibility, as well as completing vital maintenance jobs throughout the year to provide the best environment possible.

We are very conscious that ‘local is often best’, therefore we would welcome support from local companies and trades in the form of labour, materials and expertise, in return for bespoke sponsorship packages.
