Dr. Michael Cheng's retirement

After 46 years, I have made the difficult decision to retire. I thought I would never retire because I enjoy what I do so much, but I have to balance that with enjoying life while I still can. It has been a privilege to be your physician all these years, and I thank you for the trust you have placed in me.

I urge you to find another family doctor as soon as possible. Dr. Michelle Cheng is full and cannot take any new patients. For assistance in locating another physician, you may wish to contact your local Community Health Centre, which is an organization that provides primary health care and prevention programs through physicians and a variety of other health professionals. A list of Community Health Centres in Ontario is available on the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care website. You may also wish to contact your local hospital to see whether any physicians are accepting new patients. Lastly, some physicians, including those who are new to a neighbourhood or those who are beginning to establish a practice, will advertise that they are accepting new patients.
