🚨 New report out now: (to what extent) is the UK NGO sector under pressure? We are excited to share the first findings of the Resilient Civil Society project!

Based on a survey of 250 UK NGO professionals who have faced external challenges over the past two years, our report offers a timely “health check” on the UK civil society sector. What are the key takeaways?

💡 Over 60% of surveyed UK NGOs and charities report being affected by recent crises – from COVID-19 and rising energy prices to climate change and the threat of recession

đź’ˇ While 83% of organisations say the strategies they adopted to tackle these challenges were successful, a majority remain concerned about their long-term sustainability

💡 Measures typically regarded as contributing to organisational resilience may also present challenges. Fundraising, for instance, often provides only temporary relief, while digitalisation – if not managed effectively – can become a vulnerability rather than a strength

This report is part of our broader effort to understand how civil society organisations across Europe adapt and stay resilient during times of political turbulence and overlapping crises.
