This is an advanced course in economic modeling for PhD students. Partly micro- (run by dr Lucas van der Velde), partly macro-oriented. I teach solution, simulation and estimation methods for macroeconomic models. This course provides the necessary tools for future researchers. Hands-on exercises in Stata, Matlab and Dynare are provided.
Below are the presentations for the macro part. Computer codes will be distributed in class.
Introduction and local solution methods
Estimation of dynamic general equilibrium models
Global simulation and solution methods
