My wife and I started Helping Hands Ministries in 2009.
We love the truth and others through our ministry. The scriptures inspire and instruct us.
Paul writes in Romans, "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." Solomon observes, "Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless." And the Psalmist intones, "Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous."
The writer of Hebrews advises, "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
And lastly the words of God's Holy Son, Jesus, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Inspired by these ideas we give away our time and money as much as is humanly possible.
God makes this a reality for us through work (Paulie teaches piano lessons in our home, and I deliver packages for FedEx), and donations to Helping Hands Ministries.
Donations are deductible on your income taxes.
