Unit 4 PLE Reflection Post
Unit 4 PLE Reflection Post
The biggest surprise I encountered was being asked to conduct a quality check only three weeks into it. We have learned just enough to be dangerous but not enough to be lethal. When developing a course, conducting the checklist and seeing what must be thought of and through is overwhelming. It is definitely a lot of work to ensure student involvement, educator training, and that the institution is well-instructed on the course requirements.
In the future, I will better understand all the work that went into each course and appreciate them more. Seeing all the checkboxes and how vital each question was to the success of the course allowed me to truly see the creative process and knowledge each course developer has had.
To develop a course, you must first be passionate about the subject. Having that motivation will show in the final product and attention to detail. Sometimes, the smallest statement will have the most significant impact on a student. Research, write, and apply individual and team wisdom into each course, allowing the educator to make the course their own.
