WATE 2025 will be hosted by the Department of Economics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. WATE was started with the goal of providing a forum where Floridian researchers in Economics can meet and exchange ideas. We hope you take this opportunity to submit a paper or participate in the conference to help strengthen the research community within the state of Florida.
Call for Papers
We invite submissions for the 2025 WATE-Florida, to be held at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL on Friday, October 24, 2025. The one-day workshop will consist of several paper sessions. It is likely that there will be 2-3 sessions running concurrently throughout the day. The organizing committee will assign discussants for each paper.
We welcome submissions in all areas related to applied and theoretical work in microeconomics and macroeconomics. Scholars from all Florida economics departments and their co-authors are welcome to apply. We also welcome submissions from doctoral student researchers.
Deadline
The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2025. Please submit your paper by email to ufeconomicsdepartment@gmail.com, and refer to WATE-Florida in the subject line. Decisions will be made shortly thereafter. A complete submission should include (1) the authors’ names, (2) the authors’ institutional affiliations, (3) the paper title, and (4) an abstract. If a draft manuscript is available, please include it as well.
