My name is Mia, and I am a recent graduate of Florida International University, where I double majored in Biological Sciences and Natural Applied Scienes, as well as minored in Chemistry and Marine Biology. I have strong foundations in the physiology and ecology of predator-prey relationships, sustainable management of marine protected areas, and the dynamics of seagrass and reef ecosystems.
It is my goal to produce research and maintain a platform that pushes for global conservation action. A firm believer in the power of education, I have witnessed experiential learning and global engagement be exceptional tools in shaping leaders inside and outside of a classroom. By pursuing a PhD in Biological Sciences, I have the opportunity to become a Professor in academia and encourage others to work towards being global citizens.
I am a New York native, but continue to reside in Miami as I make future career plans. My personal interests include hiking, creative writing, public speaking, and World History. Welcome to my ePortoflio, and please feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat!
