Pre-serivice Teacher Candidates

How can pre-service teacher candidates participate?

Educators will interact with each other and higher education faculty, primarily through the use of the Zoom Video Conferencing application. Sessions will be held after school hours, generally in the evening.

Pre-service teacher candidates will be expected to do the following:

Participate in all 10 hours of sessions online.

Work with a K-12 educator to identify an area of their work where they are focusing on improving practice.

Collaborate with a K-12 educator on the design of a plan for collecting data on the impact of a strategy or approach which they implement with their students.

Credit for Work:

The Mid-Hudson Teacher Center will provide support for a pre-service teacher candidate who is seeking class credit for their involvement in the cohort. This professional development experience involves approximately 10 hours of contact time.
