I have established a personal CFD Lab for MCE department which is equipped with two HP brand high performance workstations. Each workstation has 8 cores processors, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of data storing capacity. It is to mention here that IUT has procured 25 Academic CFD Licenses and 25 Research Licenses from ANSYS Inc.
Currently, following simulations are in progress using latest version of the world renowned commercial CFD software ANSYS.

Moreover, the Lab is also equipped with 3D printing machine which play great role in modeling different parts and components.

Inlet temperature of gas turbine engines is continually increasing for higher efficiency and maximum power output . However metallurgical properties of the turbine metal limits achieving this best performance of the engines. It is a challenge to overcome the excessive thermal stresses developed on the turbine structure. Many efforts have been made so far to find a way of efficient cooling system design and the research has been continuing to develop the state of the art technology of gas turbine cooling. Our project will contribute towards the advanced cooling technology design and development.
