Felix H. Freedman was a 1949 graduate of Patton School

Felix Henry Freedman, a resident of Huntingdon Valley for over 70 years, went to his Heavenly Home on March 4, 2023. Felix was born on December 21, 1929 in Ashland, Pa. He graduated from Butler High in Schuylkill County and Elizabethtown Masonic Home where he enjoyed playing football and boxing and learned a trade to become a machinist. He worked at the Budd Company and Fredericks Company through the war until 1962 when he changed careers and began his own construction business.

He was passionate about creating and problem solving; probably where he earned one of his nicknames "Mr. Fixit". He actually built the home he and Betty, his wife of 67 years, raised their children in. It remains the family home to this day. Some of Felix's other passions include gardening and volunteering with Builders For God, Christian Business Men's Committee and at his church United Methodist Church of Huntingdon Valley. He was always willing to help anyone at anytime. But his favorite pastime was chatting and chatting and chatting with family, friends and the occasional stranger.

Felix was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2018. He is survived by his three children; Kathie, Tom and Terry, daughter-in-law Karen, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. He will also be missed by his brother Lloyd, sisters-in-law Fay Freedman and Joan Ovelman as well as brother-in-law Norm Ovelman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Huntingdon Valley, 3470 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, Pa. 19006
