Make sure that being a Navy/Marine Corps Officer is what you really want to do. The money, other’s expectations, etc is not worth your dedication.
Do not be intimidated by anyone in the program, we are all peers and should treat one another with equal respect.
Don’t let anyone discourage you. Although you may be thrown a lot of bumps and hurdles in your path, just breathe, reassess, and continue your journey.
Be respectful and sympathetic to your peers. You all come from different backgrounds and households, so communication may be difficult. However, it will be more beneficial for your class to get through the program as a team.

The program is a mindset. It only sucks as much as you make it. Don't be afraid to be enthusiastic and proud of the path you chose and remember the goal is to commission to lead sailors and positively influence people.

Let go of any fear of failing and embrace the possibility of growing and developing. Failure is a part of growth and is necessary to become the best you can be. You should definitely leave better than you came, which will come with both failures and success.
