Course Overview 

We are delighted to propose an engaging and comprehensive STEAM Capstone Course to be introduced at Manaret Heliopolis International School for students in PYP4–PYP8. 

This course is designed to inspire and empower students with essential knowledge and skills in coding and robotics, guiding them to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 Through this interdisciplinary program, students will strengthen their problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, while cultivating a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). 

Learning will be facilitated through the use of LEGO® Spike Essential or Spike Prime Kits, tailored to each age group. Moreover, this program equips students with the qualifications needed to participate in the Robotics Championship Egypt Finals 2025, with top-performing students in PYP6, PYP7 and PYP8 eligible to advance to the International Robotics Competition in Romania, May 2026. 

• Program: Skill Challenge Program (STEAM-based curriculum) 

• Duration: 3 months (adjustable based on the school’s academic calendar) 

• Target Audience: Students from PYP4 to PYP8 

• Main Objective: To introduce students to STEAM skills through robotics, enabling them to design life-applicable projects and compete at the national level.
