The premise of this activity is a game in which there are two to four players each taking turns seeing who can hide for the longest period of time. Each player will have 30 minutes to hide after which the seekers will try to find the hider. The seekers may ask questions to the hider in order to narrow down the search. Each question costs a certain amount of coins that must be paid to the hider. The hider can use these coins to buy one or more dice to alter their odds of randomizing a good handicap to slow down the seekers.
Recommended Number of Players - 2-4 players (1 hider, the rest are seekers)
Recommended Playtime - 4-6 Hours
General
1)The starting location for this game is Metro Center Station (escalator entrance under canopy/just north of G street on 12th street).
2) The hider is able to see the location of the seekers during their hiding run.
3)You may use any mode of transportation except cars owned by players or players' friends.
4) The player with the single longest hiding run wins. The run timer starts directly after the 30 minute hider travel period.
Player Roles
1)There is one Hider who is trying to hide for as long as possible. The rest of the players are seekers who must stick together until the hider is found.
2) The hider has 30 minutes to get to their hiding spot (within the boundaries/black lines on the below map) which may be indoors or outdoors but must be publicly accessible and visible from the street. (Hider must stay where they were when the 30 min timer ended).
2a) If the 30 minute timer runs out before the hider is in their spot, they most stop in a safe place near where they are and hide there.
3) The hider may not move from their hiding spot until they are found.
3a) Hiders may not run from seekers when they are approaching.
4)Once the hider is found, one of the seekers is now the hider. They have 30 minutes to get to a hiding spot from wherever they are.
Questions
1) The seekers may pay the hider in coins in exchange to answers to the listed questions below. The questions cost different amounts of coins depending on how helpful they can be.
2) Hiders have 5 minutes to respond to the questions or else they still must answer the question with no reward.
3) Once you ask a question, you must wait 10 minutes until you ask the next one.
4) Hiders may use the coins they receive to buy one or more dice to handicap the seekers. The amount of dice you buy as a hider changes the range of possible handicaps that can be selected randomly. If you buy 1 dice you randomize 1-6 for handicaps, if you buy 5 dice you randomize 1-30 for handicaps etc. Higher number handicaps are better so it may be worth buying more dice to have a chance to get them. (See handicaps below).
4a) Seekers have unlimited coins, but may not repeat questions.
Handicaps

2) Only one handicap/set of dice may be purchased at a time and only one handicap may be active at any given time.
3) The seekers must complete their handicap before they can ask another question. (They may ignore the handicap and try to find the hider without additional questions or information but may not ask another question until the handicap is completed).
4) The hider must notify the seekers when they are handicapped and the seekers must let the hider know when they have completed their handicap.
Seekers must wait 10 minutes in-between asking questions.
Hiders have 5 minutes to respond to questions.
Each Dice is 25 coins.
