“Waste Water Treatment for re-use: from science to social welfare”

The aim of the workshop is to bridge the gap between the science behind waste water treatment and its non-potable uses in the society and to introduce our technology which is based on Single Chamber Microbial Fuel Cells (SMFCs). We also aim to assess MFC integration and upscaling in factories producing tons of waste water, we are specifically interested in textile industry due to the different pollutants present in its wastewater and the hazards they impose. Eminent guest speakers from the UK, Germany, Tunisia and Egypt will share their views on water problem and advanced wastewater technologies and applications.This workshop is organized to help us design our implementation plan, therefore different stakeholders representing policy makers, researchers, NGOs, industrialists and media are invited to help us discuss potentials, limitations and future trends.
