What is a meteotsunami?
A meteotsunami is a tsunami-like sea wave generated by rapid atmospheric changes, such as pressure jumps or fast-moving storms. Unlike seismic tsunamis, meteotsunamis are weather-driven and represent a global coastal hazard capable of causing flooding and significant damage.
