Patients present in the first month of life with hypotonia and seizures. Survival is often less than 2 years
On imaging patients have cortical changes of increased number of small gyri, germinolytic cysts, cerebellar atrophy, and delayed myelination of white matter. 20-30% of children have ventricular dilatation.
