The app requires at a minimum Android 9 (Pie) to run. Beyond that, our app only uses functions that are available on the vast majority of phones so we don’t expect any problems.

Yes, all settings are automatically backed up to your Google Drive account and restored whenever you reinstall the app onto the same phone or another phone logged on to the same Google account. Additionally, you can export your app's configurations onto a file, and import said file at a later time onto any installation of Message Forwarder.

Unfortunately, no. Apple's iOS does not provide thrird-party apps with access to text or multimedia (SMS/MMS) messages on the device, so Message Forwarder simply cannot operate on that platform.
The phone has to be turned on for Message Forwarder to be able to function. If you only want to forward text (SMS) messages to other phone numbers, you don't need an internet connection. If you want to forward multimedia (MMS) messages to other phone numbers, or any kind of message (SMS or MMS) to e-mail addresses, then you must have active internet connection for the messages to go through. If an internet connection is not available when it's needed, the app will queue the messages and forward them as soon as an internet connection becomes available.
No, as these messages are not “real” or “true” SMS. They are called OTT (Over the Top) apps and use the internet to deliver messages, not a telecommunications network.

Android may sometimes warn you about installing apps from “unknown sources”. As you are downloading our app from outside the Google Play Store, it may be considered unsafe. You can bypass this warning by taping “Settings” and enabling the installation.
The app offers options to only forward messages containing specific words or RegEx expressions. You can also modify the content of the message automatically by replacing these words or RegEx expressions on the fly before forwarding the message to its recipients.
All of the app's features are available for free but supported by ads. There's a quota that limits the number of messages you can forward, which can be increased at any time by watching a short video ad. By upgrading to premium, this quota goes away and you can forward unlimited messages without having to watch video ads. Upgrading to premium does not, however, remove the banner ads that show up at the bottom of the app's screens.
