Ultimately this project works on multiple levels:
First and foremost, I hope this captures the spirit of the prompt in a newfound way - bringing these animatronics to life with a new backstory in a new world that puts the focus on them not as monsters or robots, but as spiritual beings that are beloved through oral tradition of communities from centuries ago. Through this historical fantasy premise, we are able to bring each of the Dinosaur animatronics over to Nara Dreamland and incorporate them into this living, breathing environment fit for an edutainment park Disneyland-style park like Nara Dreamland.
Secondly, this acts as the concluding project to So, You Want To Be The Sorcerer's Apprentice. As has been mentioned in the semi-final project, both of the competitions that this hybrid season has been founded on have meaningful impacts on my imagineering life, thus the not-so-subtle easter eggs to both of the competitions through the tribe and village people in this project ('tribes' being an even further allegory within an allegory to various Survivor-inspired Seasons of SYWTBAI) My hope is that this project is a fitting end for the season - a season which used elements from both competitions fusing them together - similar to Mesoland itself.
Lastly, I want to thank the judges and players for a great season. It has been an honor and exciting to be able to prove to myself and share with everyone my passion and that after all these years I still have it in me. Thank you and best of luck to everyone!
