While the deep earth holds the solemn spirituality of the Visia tribe, the surface streets belong to the pragmatic, vibrant energy of the Sorsera villagers. 

Utilizing a spinning turntable whip system, this attraction repurposes the tiny, chaotic Compsognathus from the original Dinosaur!, transforming them from terrifying swarmers into the village’s mischievous, beloved "Market Thieves."

The Ride System and Vehicle Design

The physical mechanics of the attraction utilize a series of interlocking, high-speed rotating turntables - similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

Guests board ride vehicles meticulously designed to resemble oversized, heavy woven harvest baskets mounted on rough-hewn wooden sledges. Hitched to the front of each basket is a life-sized, incredibly detailed Compsognathus figure. 

Posed mid-stride with a stolen, vibrant red cacao pod clamped triumphantly in its jaws, the creature appears to be frantically pulling the heavy sledge behind it in a desperate getaway.

Located directly adjacent to The Artisan Marketplace on the left flank of the land, the ride is set within a vibrant, open-air transition zone of the land, making it a kinetic energy centerpiece of the land. Because it is an outdoor flat ride, the continuous, sweeping motion and the joyous screams of riders act as a visual magnet. 

The Ride Experience

The narrative is simple and highly playful... the agile "Market Thieves" have successfully raided the village’s fermented cacao supply and are now frantically scattering in every direction to escape with their prize.

As the ride cycle begins, the ambient sounds of the marketplace are overtaken by a fast, drumbeat as above, driving rhythm of the kinetic attraction. The concealed turntables begin to spin, and the Compsognathus figures appear to pull the heavy harvest baskets into a chaotic, dizzying figure-eight dance across the stamped earth.

As the tempo accelerates, the true thrill of the whip system engages. The vehicles are slung around tight, interlocking corners, causing the heavy baskets to swing wide in the rear, creating the exhilarating illusion of sliding out of control. 

Baskets narrowly avoid one another in synchronized near-misses, whipping guests from side to side in a flurry of wind and motion before coming to a conclusion after approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds of ride-time.
