Yes. I am currently YPT trained. You can find copies of my training here. My Merit badge training certificate is also on this page.
Most classes last approximately 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes) depending on the subject some may be shorter or longer. Your scout must be there the entire class. I pull a report from Zoom for attendance which tells me who attends the class and how much time is spent in class so credit will only be given for attended portions. Scouts are REQUIRED to leave their video on, turning off video will indicate to me they are finished and I will NOT sign off on anything they may have missed.
Details are listed in every single sign-up post. Please read them. The first step is using SIGNUP GENIUS to hold a spot for your scout. You will than receive an email from me with all the instructions you need for payment and access. EACH post will have a signup. I will have space for TEN (10) Scouts per class.
They go to https://classroom.google.com/ and sign in with a NON-School email account. Then in the corner you will see a little plus sign. Click this and press add class. Now enter the code from the class document and press enter.
Yes I will continue to offer classes for the foreseeable future. I do not have a schedule or know when they’ll be but I’ll give you at least 2 week notice before a class.
All classes will be $5 paid via Venmo or Paypal. Once you signup you will receive a email with instructions and the account address for payment.
I teach scouts all across the country and everyone has a different schedule. I am fairly busy with work, Scouts, and family life that I will conduct classes when I am able.
Please let me know so I do not delay class waiting for your scout. There are no transfers or refunds. In most cases I will not fill your scouts spot due to prework time constraints. If you wish to attend a future class payment will need to be made again.

Absolutely! Sign your scout up and once registered send me a pm and we can make any needed accommodations. Telling me in advance will help me and your scout get the best experience possible. Scouting is for everyone.
Yes. All classes have prework and scouts are expected to come to class prepared. My classes are not ‘pay for credit’. Your scout must do the work and participate. Pre and post-work can be submitted to me by email at Meritbadge626@gmail.com or through the Goggle Classroom.
Please read the pamphlet, it has lots of information and is available online or through Amazon. Most of all the information needed to successfully complete the work is explained or examples are given there.
My preferred method for handling Blue Cards will be via Scoutbook. Please connect your Scout with me there. Connect with me by searching for “Hlif Gabrish” and in “Jersey Shore Council" or using my scouting number # 12483824. DO NOT connect with me prior to payment for class. If you do not use Scoutbook the back up method will be the Scout having a completely filled out Blue Card sent to me where I’ll check off the requirements and sign. You’ll also need to include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for me to return the Blue Card.
