MERG is a research group in the department of Mathematics at Colorado State University, focusing on research related to enumerative and combinatorial aspects of the geometry of various moduli spaces. Some of the topics of interest to the group include:
Gromov-Witten theory and related curve counting theories
Schubert calculus
Intersection theory of moduli spaces of curves
Tropical and logarithmic geometry
Birational geometry and derived categories

MMARGS is the weekly (informal) seminar of the MERG group. In Fall 2025 MMARGS meets on
FRIDAYS at 10 am in Weber 201.
This semester MMARGS will be structured as a learning seminar with the following lecture series from our guests:
Matroids and Tropical Linear Spaces (Jaeho Shin)
Introduction to Integrable Hyerarchies (David Klompenhouwer)
Hitching a ride out of Cremona with Michael Thaddeus (Aaron Bertram)
