Account Deletion Policy

This page explains how users of Memolay, developed by Tansy Software, can request deletion of their account and related data in accordance with Google Play requirements.

Steps to Request Account Deletion

To delete your Memolay account and associated data:

• Go to the Profile section in the application.

• Tap Delete Account and confirm your choice.

• Deletion will begin immediately upon confirmation and is typically completed right away. In rare cases, it may take up to 7 days to finalize.

Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions or payments made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. To avoid further charges, you must manually cancel your subscriptions via your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon verified request, we will delete the following data from our systems:

•  Your Firebase Authentication account (Google ID, display name, email)

• Learning progress and preferences (e.g., word familiarity, study history)

Data That Will Be Retained (If Applicable)

The following data may be retained after account deletion:

• Subscription and purchase records (for up to 180 days) to comply with billing policies and resolve disputes

• Anonymized analytics data (e.g., general usage metrics via Amplitude), which is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to re-identify you

Data Retention Timeline

• Personal data will be deleted immediately upon account deletion request, and in all cases no later than 7 days after confirmation.

• Purchase data is retained for up to 180 days, then automatically removed.

• Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes only.
