We are located at 100 Heritage Drive in Melville, Saskatchewan! Housed in a three-story building with a basement, the museum offers 23 themed rooms and over 13 000 artifacts! Guests are welcome to explore all four floors of exhibits.
Our season runs from the middle of May to the end of August. We are open from 10 am-5 pm, Wednesday - Sunday. Admission is $8 cash, and children 12 and under get in free (with an adult present).
Constructed in 1913, our building was originally the home of Luther Academy. The highest enrollment was 56 students. In the 1920s, the Academy moved to its new home in Regina.
In the 1950s, Luther Academy became St. Paul's Lutheran Home, the first Lutheran "old folks home" and one of the first orphanages in Saskatchewan.
Our building was declared a historic site in 1981. We have been operating as the Melville Heritage Museum since 1983.
