Today was the last day of my second week of classes and I think I'm getting the hang of this. The past week has prepared me for my upcoming Teaching Practices and I feel as though my teaching methods are improving.
We were taught how to teach vocabulary, grammar, speaking, tenses, Concept Check Questions, pronunciation as well as drilling during our input sessions so they were definitely eventful and at times it felt like it was information overload.
The workload definitely increased and I found myself having to take an impromptu hike up Kloof Nek just to breathe and appreciate nature. This week was also our last week of teaching our Pre-Intermediate class and we had to say goodbye to the students which was bittersweet but it was amazing to witness their improvement and hand them their certificates.
I'm not sure what the next two weeks will hold as we will be teaching a new group of students, but I look forward to seeing what happens and continuing to grow and improve.
