My name is Mellisa Coetzee-Volmink, and I graduated from Cornerstone Institute with a higher certificate in Business Studies then went to work at a helicopter charter company called NAC Helicopters Cape Town. I am now a Graduate of the Teaching English as a Foreign Language program at the University of Cape Town.

I was born in Durban and relocated to Cape Town when I was 5 years old, and I have a passion for writing poetry, reading, my friends and family, meeting new people, and teaching.

What drew me to TEFL is that I volunteered quite a bit in my family's Saturday classes where they tutored students. I also love the English Language and felt that TEFL would be the right direction for me as I would get a chance to share my passion with others.

I'm an SEO content writer and have written articles for IronWifey, which is an Online Women's Magazine, Silo (South Africa's leading digital brand content provider), as well some freelancing work for Contentellect, which is based in the USA.

I currently work for GiveMeSport, a sports media outlet, writing pieces about sports and gaming.
