Response to Intervention (RTI)
An educational strategy designed to identify and support students who are struggling academically or behaviorally through a tiered system of interventions.
Multi-Tiered System: RTI operates on a tiered framework, typically consisting of three levels of intervention:
Tier 1: Universal instruction provided to all students in the general education classroom. This includes high-quality teaching and regular monitoring of student progress.
Tier 2: Targeted interventions for students who are not making adequate progress in Tier 1. This may involve small group instruction or additional support in specific skill areas.
