My research is primarily in digital humanities. I combine network analysis, especially social network analysis, and to study the interaction of writers with institutions, such as academies, salons, schools, and other writers and artists. My primary period is the late eighteenth century and early nineteenth century but I also work on twentieth century and contemporary cultures.
Along with networks, I also study cultural geography and have published one short book Literary Geography in Balzac and Proust (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
My strengths are in French studies, gender studies, and textual analysis. I have written extensively on information visualization and the use of tools like Gephi, Palladio, and Voyant for digital studies.
