UNIVERSITY TEES

Experience

I started working for University Tees (UTees) as a Campus Manager in October 2020 of my junior year and was promoted to Campus Director in the Summer of 2021. UTees is a custom apparel company based in Lakewood, Ohio. The company has campus managers and directors across the nation on many college campuses. My role as Campus Director is to correspond with organizations, clubs, fraternities, and sororities in creating custom merchandise for them. Additionally, I oversee a team of 6 other campus managers at Delaware. This has broadened my abilities to network and expand my connections on campus. I plan meetings with potential customers utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to go over designs, products, and benefits of using University Tees for merchandise orders. Additionally, I have fostered genuine relationships with organizations by providing exceptional communication and customer service by interacting weekly.

The greatest perk of being a campus is that it doesn’t feel like a job to me, it’s a creative outlet to make apparel that my customers love and wear for years to come. It pushes me outside of my comfort zone everyday and I have developed as a person. I’ve gained real work experience, but also an experience I never could’ve imagined. This job has pushed me to become a better, more successful version of myself. Building new friendships with people on my campus and in my community as well as getting sales experience that I can use in my future career. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing my customers ideas come to life in the form of t-shirts. I love walking to class, down Main Street, or anywhere on campus and seeing people wearing a design that I worked on. It truley is the best feeling.

I am accomplished to say that to this date and only a little over a year of working at UTees, I have generated over $247,000 in sales and that number is only growing.

University Tees is the most amazing job I could’ve ever imagined myself having during my college experience. I am so thankful to be apart of such an amazing company and am looking forward to reaching bigger goals!
